Catching Up

Today was a great day I must have woken up on the right side of the bed, which without an alarm was at 6:30am. Still 30 minutes shy of making it to the gym.

But not just for waking up early but because I got to catch up with my best friend Wendy. Wendy has been there for me through everything, boyfriends, break ups, good times, sorority times, homework, school, family, jobs, girlfriends and everything else in between.

Catching up with her is like time traveling because no matter how far apart we are in mileage or how often we do or don't talk days, hours or months it's always the same Wendy that I know and love. Her friendship means more to me than she probably knows. With her we can shoot the shit talk about our lives, families, our loves, our jobs and most importantly reflect a time or two on the old times.

It's weird to think we've only know each other since college which unfortunately is starting to be a long time ago.. what almost 7 years ago now? Geeze! But in such a short amount of time no friend has ever shown me the loyalty and friendship like she has and for that POONIE! I love you!!

And if your reading that did this make you cry? =) If it did that would be a first since I'm never good at writing stuff like she is in birthday cards or stuff like that.

But it was a great day visiting for such a short amount of time because she always brings a smile and laughter to my day.

Quote from her that will always make me smile "If he can't love you like a fat kid loves cake" then you shouldn't be with him.. That brought me up out of hard time a long time ago and I'm glad we can laugh about that horrid day still.
