Aprons For Two - Girl's Day

Saturday was a fun filled day that started early and ended late, more on that later. During the afternoon Stephanie came up from Lodi to hang out which normally means Champagne and Guava Juice, lots of chit chat and maybe a few shopping trips. But today we took on a new fun idea! I of course love to sew so I enlisted Stephanie in the job as well.
Here's what we ended up making! We learned how to make them from Make It and Love It's Quick Apron Tutorial!

In our fabulous new Aprons! We were going to start baking..

But we couldn't resist taking photos..

Plus time ran short because of other engagements so we "mocked up" some cooking photos..
Adorable yes? They really did only take an hour too! We skipped out on a pocket thought because I don't often use pockets but I think I'm going to add in a new towel holder loop to the side of the apron next time because I do always find myself searching for a hand towel.

For the majority of it Stephanie did pretty well! I just helped out on some ironing and treading issues but other than that it was super fun for the two of us to do together.  I'm stragedizing what to make next time we get together.  I almost had a matching head band for us but that can wait for next time.

Thanks Ashley at Make It and Love It for the great tutorial! Check her blog out it has TONS of fun stuff to make I've already made 3 things alone and have lots more on my list.

Love them! So cute! I have a mild obsession with aprons...It was always my childhood dream to be one of those housewifes who vacumed and cleaned in pearls and her high heels...all while wearing an apron. Sometimes I pull off that look, but it is rare! Ugg boots are way more comfortable to clean in than heels! lol.
