Here I was all worried I didn't have anything to post then I got to the gym this morning and remembered what I've been wanting to talk about!!
Exercise Clothing!
Your probably thinking, really? Exercise clothing? That's what I came to your blog for? Well duh! Yes of course it is! Here's the thing, I've been exercising for awhile now and I've been a soccer player for most of my life. Which means I have ample supplies of big non fitted t-shirts and lots of soccer shorts.
Here's a SUPER old photo! Ha I'm the one in Orange in the front row. Sporting that baggy t and soccer shorts.
So naturally that's what I've always worn to the gym. About a month ago I finally lost some lbs and didn't feel as self consious of my belly so I decided to break out of my baggy soccer t-shirts and squeezed myself in to my Old Navy, Target and Hanes fitted tank tops.
With workout outfits as cute as that you better get a good workout. You try to look sizzling when you go out at night, so why not when you work out too? Why wouldn't you feel more energized when you look at that person in the mirror just the same as when your going out? You get a rush of energy when you put on that cute pair of heels, dress and jewelry so make sure your exercise clothes make you feel the same way.
I'm totally serious about this though, when I used to workout in my baggy shirts and soccer shorts I didn't feel very motivated to finish up those sets or check my angles in the mirrors. But now I'm like "Hello!! Who's that girl with those nice arms? Oh wait that's me!".
"Putting on a flattering outfit motivates people to actually go to the gym or to exercise outdoors in public", says performance coach Larina Kase, PsyD, MBA, president of Performance and Success Coaching LLC in Philadelphia.
Well ya, I mean if your looking cute don't you want someone to notice? (Me not so much at the gym, I look like crap but I feel great) But that's also because I follow this idea,
"If you're serious about your workout, then forgo any makeup, which might clog your pores while you sweat," says Weingarten. Opt for a clean face, with a cotton or terry headband to keep sweat off your face. Source
Aside from makeup and my exercise attire, my hair is really an issue for me because it's so long and thick that I need two sometimes three hair bands and I always have to have a headband on. Well now I've come up with the perfect solution to being all over motivated.
A cute hair accessory!!
That's reversible!!
These babies are PERFECT for the gym and for everyday wear. I've been sporting these cuties to the gym everyday now and it even holds better than my old Goody headbands I've worn for so long.

23 Lovely Notes:
i couldn't agree more about workout wear... you have to look good to be motivated to kick some booty at the gym... my wardrobe consists of goodies from target, old navy, and tj maxx and they haven't failed me yet!!
oh I TOTALLY agree with you - what you wear when you work out can change your attitude all together when your doing it.
My favorite exercise is most def running. I feel like I can get out any emotion I'm feeling when I'm running, and the "runner's high" afterwards makes it worth it too.
