4th of July with Flying Colors Literally

Happy Hump Day! I finally uploaded some photos so here is my 4th of July weekend recap! Plus extra since I've been out of photo commission for awhile.

Me and my honey were shopping and he's a man that luvvs some hats on his girl so he bought me my first fedora hat! I sported it to dinner awhile back.

So cute I don't know if I really rock hat's that well but he loves them on me.

We went to a BBQ at a friends house on father's day

Then this past weekend we rode our bikes to the Rivercats game on Saturday night so we could catch the Fireworks Extravaganza!  We make a pit stop at a local bar on the way there which lead us to find out we were late for the game they started early so we had to high tail it outta there and make it to the game.

There ya go! The sun went down.

I can't recall if they won, but the fireworks were crazy long that night but I ended up meeting the cutest little ladies who actually were Alpha Phi alumnae and advisors.  It's not my sorority but I know all about the sorority life and they were so much fun to talk to.  

  I also let them in on my honey's master plan (He said he won't marry me unless I teach him our sorority handshake and knock) He's amazed by it all and it makes him interested in how it all happened.  

  

  The ladies said they weren't sure if he should be let in on the handshake.  :) We'll see about that.. He plays around sometimes and actually did it by accident once I just smiled and he didn't know he did it.

Sunday I went over Mom's house and did some good old sun tanning. I brought along Harley so he could swim with me.

My mom is such a sweetie she made the doggies festive little lei's for the holiday weekend. I do say they look mighty cute.  This is Harley on the left (my pup) and Snowball on the right my family dog. They are boyfriend and girlfriend :)

Ah he's so cute I could just squeeze him! I've been putting it on him the last two days he looks too darn cute in it!

We're ready to swim (my new suit from Victoria Secrets)

Here we are floating around the pool, it's really funny how much he likes the water you'd think not but he will hop on and off my little floaty and if he's off it he'll yelp and cry until I come to the side of the pool and let him back on. 

 Well this is nothing new to us, but Snowball is a lover of people food and she'll find anything left over or out.  She some how manages to find her way to the counter and ate a bunch of tortillas that were wrapped in foil.  Yes foil, look at her all happy as can be with her tortillas happily in her tummy. *See all the tiny foil shreds?*

Then later that night we went over to our friends house for a BBQ and fireworks.

These were hilarious!! They were called California Candles aka Safe and Sane like Roman Candles but it was HILARIOUS! There's another person in this photo on the right if you can see it but my honey is winning the fireworks wand fight.

Not sure where this idea came about but they taped fireworks to the end of a stick and our friend was the lucky one to hold it up and let it light up. Didn't suffer any burns just a small hole in his shirt.

It was quite a scene to watch.

So that's it everyone made it out in one piece, I didn't cry like I thought I might.

Monday I laid out again at my mom's and was a lazy bum all after noon and had to play catch up yesterday with laundry and cleaning. 

But overall a wonderful weekend!
