Celebrity Golf Weekend

This past week in Lake Tahoe was the Edgewood Celebrity Golf Tournament where tons of NFL, NBA, NCAA whoever you might think of plays in a week long tournament where the playoffs/championships happen Friday - Sunday (you might have even caught some of it on NBC in your local area or ESPN). Well we were lucky enough to take the whole day Saturday to head to Tahoe and check it out for the first time.

Tickets were really reasonable, you could even purchase them in January for the whole week at $50 a piece. I bought ours at our local supermarket on sale for $18 each when you spend $50 or more on groceries, that's easy seeing as how we ran out of Coors Light :)

Walking to the course, parking isn't even that bad if you can find close spots we just parked at the closest casino then walked in to the course.

Who might you guess we went to find first?? The stud of the event last year's second place winner, Tony Romo.. Yes ladies he's just as hot in person..

Pretty good golf swing too. It was alot of fun actually because your right there up close to them all and seeing them golf is very different than watching football on TV.  Tony was in a threesome with Testaverd and John Elway (Go Broncos! What? I was born in Denver! Bronco Sunday!)

There were concession stands for all your cocktail needs, but surprisingly we didn't have any of those until lunch time, but their bloody mary's were looking pretty tasty.

We then noticed that Romo had a pair of blondies following him inside the ropes, not sure who his main squeeze is these days but the girl in the white shorts, is the girl who was chatting it up and walking with him on every hole. Could be new squeeze or weekend fling?

Then we found Jerry Rice! Go Niners! 49er's Faithful as they say

Who enjoyed his cigar at every hole and would place it on the floor when he was teeing off. 

Rice was in a threesome (ha that sounds funny) with Aaron Rogers and Matt Ryan.  Hello hotties.. mmmkay Rogers is pretty good looking.. Didn't see any ladies following him around except this little floozie who was trying to get someones attention. 

They were actually the best ones that we watched each hit under par on a few holes and got some great shots in at a number of holes.

mmmmkay and my honey definitely has those.. moving on..

Ran into a big bottle of champagne.. Of course I had to take a photo it's my FAVORITE drink!

And for the best thing ever let's introduce Charles Barkley!  We found him at the 18th hole where we got to experience first hand his "show" I say show because he was HILARIOUS..  

First off if you don't know he has a HORRIBLE golf swing.

Well I guess he's been working on it so now instead of using two hands, he uses ONE! Here he is getting ready.. Taking his time (no wonder they put him LAST after everyone) he's getting his humidifier out to get a fresh cigar before he hits.

Essentials apparently to golf with.. The crowd that follows him is massive.

Yup one handed, right before he hit he told some guy "Hey My Man, you better move your ass outta there" because literally you never know where his ball is going to go.  UNBELIEVABLE! It was crazy! He was like at 54 on this hole.

Also at the tournament was Ray Romano who was also cracking jokes most of the time, some of the golfers are really serious.. I mean ya I get it's a game but let be sociable please!

Then Don Cheadle who we watched in Brooklyn's Finest last night (good movie too FYI)

Michael Jordan was there too but we didn't find him, we kinda learned either you can walk around with specific players or you can stake a spot at a hole and wait for them all to pass through.  I'd like to see them all so maybe next year I'll post up at one hole.

We hit Zephyr Cove after and tanned for a few hours then had dinner and drove home, it was a nice little day trip all in all.  We're going to stay in Tahoe next year when they come to town, our cabin was being used so we couldn't stay there but now we know the drill with the tournament so we'll be ready next time. 

They are told not to take photos or autographs on Friday-Sunday but on Tuesday is the day for all of that stuff so it'd be nice to try and get up there for that.  I'm sure I could have scored a few autographs though on the weekend, I totally saw some of them boys eying me.... Mmmhmmm.. Yes please! I told honey if I was single I'd try to reel one of them in too like the girl who was trying to.  

Yesterday we watched 3 movies, The Box (eh not the best movie, it was okay alittle weird at times), Youth in Revolt (again, it was good but I wouldn't mind if I didn't see it).  We also rented Remember Me so I'm excited to watch that. Then finished the night off with Brooklyn's Finest, which was a really good movie it was about the cops of the 65th precinct in NY.

 Tonight I'll be tuned into the Bachelorette, plus I found a new love for Say Yes to The Dress!  All while making some onesies and headbands for a few orders that have come in! Thanks for everyone also adding my Facebook Page to your "Likes" :)
