Sad Sally - Thoughtless Thursdays

Photobucket

Thursday! Thursday it's almost Friday! :) The state fair is in town and I'm going to have to have a 10 inch corn dog, some onion rings, a churro and funnel cake possibly this weekend so Monday we can welcome me back with a few extra pounds.

Thoughtless Thursday is brought to you by Katie @ Life in the Fulmer Lane, check her out she's hilarious and I love reading her blog, she just called a tennis ball doggy crack and it's totally true!

Well I've been kinda in the dumps lately because we are really stressed out about the house, work, economy, bills and the fact that we haven't had a vacation in who knows how long (3 Years, Yes 3 years).  So call me a sad sally but instead of being a sad sally, I am going to post the things that make me happy.
This was the day we signed the papers to our first house! We're pointing to the lot we bought!
Our first and ONLY vacation we've taken together to Maui in 2007.  Yes that's 3 years ago folks.. See why we're depressed, a house sucks all the money you have so you don't have any money left for vacations.
Johnny, my little (big) brother.  We're 8 years apart so I moved away to college when he was just hitting middle school.  I moved out of the house I've been raised in when he started high school.  We really don't get to spend to much time together because A) He has a super sweet girlfriend who takes up all his time B) He is Mr. Water boy himself, he plays water polo and is on two different swim teams. Here I was taking him to his high school homecoming dance. We look pretty identical right? When I don't have makeup on we're twins.
Here he is in action! It's so awesome to watch him play it's crazy how powerful these boys are when they play water polo.
This was our first Halloween together.  I was a lady bug and he was a Atomic Wedgie.  That thing on his head is his Atomic Wedgie that extends to the top of his head.  This was right before we actually started saying we were boyfriend and girlfriend.
This was the same Halloween and one of the funniest things I've seen.  We got the idea to play shopping cart wars with Fat Max Extreme Tape Measures.
Just a little craziness for you..
Halloween 2008 I was a Playboy Bunny! LOVE it..
This guy makes me extra happy! Mr. Jaws of Steel himself. Yes he looks cute but you haven't seen him destroy a Kong Ball yet.  See the Kong Ball? I bet you didn't know they could be destroyed BY A YORKIE!
"Gimme that ball momma or I'll have to extract it from your hands"

Oh yes, he has eaten the whole top of the Kong Ball completely off he's working on getting it down to the second level.  We figured it'll take him by November to hit the second level.

Sad sally is still in the house over here because I'd love to take a vacation but that's totally not going to happen.  Yes we do these camping trips but that's not a vacation because when I get back I need a manicure and pedicure by the time it's all over I'm more stressed than when I left.

Anyways if you noticed I didn't get to my Watcha Makin Wednesdays post yesterday but I made a new recipe last night and I just got a phone call from the bf and he was super impressed on the second day leftovers and cupcakes I made for us too.  See that's how I'm totally depressed, I made cupcakes and I'm tempted to make cookies tonight.

Blah.. I need to tan that'll make me happy :)

You and your brother have the same nose. :) Happy memories are great! And I feel ya on the vacation...I just took my first Vacation in 5 years! I beat ya! I'm no home owner, renter for life on my teaching salary ha, but that's life. Just have to find other ways to take a "mental" vacation rather than physical.

Since we bought our first house last summer it seems like the fun things I want (a vacation, a new car, a new wardrobe [haha]) have alllll been put on hold! But I do love my house! It's just hard when everyone else is out doing fun things!

Get your head up girly! =) Didn't you just go hiking!? That counts as time away, even if it's in your own backyard. Since we live in a beach town, our vacations are slim (Even though it *seems* like I was busy lately! It was making up for a very long time of no breaks!).... and we are probably honeymooning at our beach. Sigh. We are lucky to live in beautiful places! I'm going to come out there for some wine one day!

you and your bf are just darling. i think you deserve a trip together. and what i say goes, mmmk? :) i wish it were that easy. loved reading all your random pictures and comments. how i DO so love halloween and everything holiday involved!

and i can't believe your little yorkie did that. we've had koda's kong since we got him and he's not even broken the top layer. but i think that's because he reserves it for tennis balls. seriously, he goes through about one a week. he chews the crap out of them until they're no longer bounceable. puppies are just too dang cute.

thanks for playing doll!!!
