That's a Good One!

Good old Monday and that means weekend recap! It finally started cooling down in Sacramento which means it's only about 97 instead of 102 so I hit the pool Saturday morning for a tanning sesh then got ready for my boyfriend's mom's birthday.
Me, Gina and Mom's.  I gave her a super cute apron that I made and she loved it! :) I'll be posting it later on LOL Designs!
Me and my honey, we brought over Catch Phrase and Apples to Apples and as always it was a hit!
Sunday we went to the local farmer's market at Slough House which has their own U-Pick Strawberries! I've been here tons of times but never saw this part! Of course I was dying to pick my own! Which my honey of course went and found out details for.
One basket of FRESH off the vine Strawberries! That I get to pick for $2.50!
Ooooh a juicy one!
They had rows and rows of Strawberries that grow in these vertical planters so you don't have to bend down to pick them.  Quite genius! We learned the secret was that people were A) Lazy or B) Didn't want to walk over a puddle.. So the GOOD strawberries are hiding in the back of the rows.  Where we found TONS of juicy red delicious strawberries for the picking!
He found one! He's quite the Strawberry hunter. If I do say so myself.
The containers they grow in.
A happy camper with TONS of Strawberries they are delicious!
They also had Sunflowers for .75 cents! So I got some for my viewing pleasure. After the farmers market we went and took his mom to the Happy Day Spa again for the $20 foot massage.  I was kinda let down I got someone different than last time and it wasn't as great as last time but none the less I still fell asleep and I might have been snoring.
While he took his mom home, I went to this local flower shop that I've heard about.  The rumors were true I scored this beautiful orchid for $8.99! That's right! Crazy right?! I've never been good with house plants so we'll see how this goes.

And lastly I can't forget about my new pet fishy! His name is Free Willie or Willie for short because I free'd him from his tank at Petsmart.  I love fishies but they too don't have a great life span under my care, I got him Saturday and he's already fogged up the water! Argh.. Hopefully he lives for awhile.  I'd give him about 2 months possibly.  Petsmart fish don't have the best life span to begin with.  It was him or a Beta fish.

I got my bf a beta fish for valentine's day a while ago and my mom decided he wouldn't take of it, so she took it. She loved that fish, who she named Fysh, washed that bowl every Sunday, fed him twice a day and he lived to be 3 and a half years old! He actually just died about 2 months ago, and she was quite sad, but told me not to get her another one haha

I'd love to go pick strawberries! :) They're one of my favorite fruits!

.75 for sunflowers?! So pretty too.

One time, I had two pet fish that I won at the carnival and came home one day and my fish had committed suicide. He was laying on my floor. Terrible! Hope your fish lasts more than 2 months :)

Glad you had a fun weekend!

The strawberries look great :) I had two goldfish about 3 months ago and they both just recently died because they got sick :( I think yours will do fine though, as long as you change the water frequently! Good luck <3
