tutorial: feather hair extensions

Happy Thursday! This post is taking forever to upload because I was using the blogger video up loader and sadly my video tutorial on how to put these in didn't upload so I'm out of luck..

Here's my feather hair extensions I told you all about a few weeks back!!

I myself put my feather hair extensions in about 2 weeks ago now, and I am in love.  It's such a fun little pop of surprise in my hair that people can barely notice but they do notice.   Just something fun to do to jazz up the plain old hairstyle I'm always used to.  

I decided to do a tutorial on it since I'm sure some of you might want to try these on yourselves. But then of course Blogger Video Upload doesn't like me... So here's one from YouTube instead

 

So that video shows you how to use the micro link extensions which is exactly what you do for feather extensions.

 What You Need:

• Micro Links Any type work, get them in your hair color.  I bought 3mm ones I ended up getting blond ones but they are WAY to light, get ones that match your roots (not your bleached hair LOL) 
• Micro Link Bead Loader 
• Pliers
• Comb
• Hair Clip
• Rooster Tail Feathers

I ordered my feathers from an online feather distributor and not from a hair extension place.  Reason? Because I got them cheaper and I got alot of them! I'm keeping it a secret where I bought them from because I'm going to buy more :)

So get all your stuff together, then follow what the guy does in the video and instead of putting a hair extension into the micro link, just put a few feathers in there, clamp it down and your good to go!

I think I like them the most when they are curly because they sneak out at you. I know barely any of you are local in Sacramento, but if you are and are interested email me and I'll install them for you! I'm thinking about $5-10 depending on how many feathers you want.

And that ladies is how you do micro link feather hair extensions.  You can always you tube more videos on how to install micro link hair extensions and you'll learn lots of ways but it's always the same.

Oh ya and I currently have about 6 of them in, beads that is and in each bead I have about 2-4 feathers in there.  Some have actually fallen out and my honey was like "Ooooh your weave is falling out" but whatever I found them and they are save and secured again.

They stay in for weeks, just make sure if you do end up doing this that you are careful when you brush your hair because you don't want to rip out your hair by catching the roots at the link and that wouldn't be pretty!  They are completely washable, you can curl them, iron them, wash them, dry em' everything!!
