i'm green thumbin it

I think I have become a green thumb! That's right I have a green thumb! That's only because it's rather hard to kill vegetables they grow so fast there's really no stopping them.

I had a massive garden planned last year, that sadly we never planted because my honey killed my seedlings. But not this year!

This year I've set my stakes high! I have not one but TWO garden beds, well technically speaking it's like 5 garden beds if you want to get all logistical on me.

Here's what is happening in the gardening world with me.

I have one garden in the backyard which consists of 4 planter beds that are set on different levels
Here's the planters! They are made out of metal pieces and they are all welded together.
Here's the other side of it so there's 4 planters.

Yes that's just my backyard garden!
Click on them so you can read the text if you can't see them here!

So here's the OTHER garden that is on the outside of my yard.
We have an empty lot by us to we use it to how we see fit!

Here I have pretty much the same things as in the "inside" garden.
I have more peppers, onions: red, white, shallots, chives, basil, cilantro, mint, peppers, cantaloupe, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin and artichoke!
Yes folks this is me being Miss Green Thumb!

So any of you veggie gardeners too?

I can't wait to start getting produce out of my yard!

I've already used tons parsley, basil and lettuce!

I'm waiting to have a strawberry but my DOG keeps eating them and now the birds have discovered my juicy strawberries too.

Here's the strawberry thief right here:
Drake enjoys his strawberries in full and almost ripe for picking, not little nibbles, just the WHOLE thing with the stem and all.  That's how I knew it wasn't a bird eating my strawberries!
Plus the giant paw print in the dirt gave him away.

I totally don't have a green thumb...more like a black thumb. Kudos to you on the awesome progress so far!

it is my DREAM to have a garden! We have plenty of space, I just need to get my shiz together and get it done! Food grown from your own garden tastes SO much better than the ones you buy with chemicals and such.

Look at you, girl! I love all the gardens... now keep that little thief away - the strawberries are the best part ;)

This may sound mean to the birds, but I used to paint rocks with fingernail polish that matched the strawberries and lay them around my strawberry plants. The birds would pick at the rocks instead of the plants most of the time.
Great job!

So jealous of your yard and garden! I love the way the flowerbeds were incorporated :)

Someday when we have a backyard, I will have some stuff back there. My coworker gave me two tomato plants so right now I am just trying not to kill them.

Try putting some small hole wiring over the strawberries to keep the scoundrels out :)

Your garden looks amazing!! I wish I could have one, but bugs here don`t allow for it. I bet you'll have some delish fruits and veggies this summer!
