oh what pretty eyelashes you have!

I had a spur of the moment idea on Friday last week, I decided to get eyelash extensions…

I decided to get them because they'd be a reasonable price, that wasn’t the case afterwards. I thought it was $40 for full set but it was $80 at the time of the bill.  I’m happy with them but I’ll plan better next time.. So that I have them for an actual event of some kind.

But still a fun experience

Let's start from the top...

Here is the before… I had my mascara on in this photo.  The eyelash guru said that I have alot of eyelashes to begin with.  I didn’t realize that but that’s what she said.

IMAG0749

She said my eyelashes are about 6mm long naturally.

She added in 9mm and 11mm individual lash pieces to my eyelashes.

But you can go anywhere to 15mm which are HUGE!

But that is if you already have long lashes.

You can’t even feel the lady putting the eyelashes on

I was pretty close to falling asleep, I know it looks rather funny especially with the tape in your eye, but it helps to keep the lash glue out of your eyes..

 IMAG0750

She puts each of the eyelashes on individually and sets them in line with your natural lashes

IMAG0752

Ah happy thoughts! I didn’t know what I would look like once I opened my eyes! I was slightly freaking out.  But I look rather relaxed!

Then your done! It took 30 mins..

As you can see they do extend your eyelashes quite a bit! I loved the look of them it was really weird to get used to at first.  I was mostly worried about what my fiancé would say.

IMAG0757

He’s never been a fan of my fake eyelashes.  I put a set on REALLY bad one time and he won’t let me live that one down.  But he didn’t mind them he liked them!

Can we please note how freaking weird it is to take photos of just your eyelashes.. WEIRD.. But I wanted to get you the full idea of the lashes!

Since getting them done I headed to the lake on Saturday proceeded to jump in the water numerous times.. Lashes were still in tact! I lost a few since each morning but only on one eye.  I think that’s because it’s the side I sleep on and I like to smush my face on my pillow.

Review of Eyelash Extensions

PROS:

NO MAKEUP! Literally.. It’s wonderful with nothing on..

Usually I will always put on mascara and a little blush but with eyelashes it was like it was complete..

NO MASCARA! How fabulous to not have to do my mascara..

It is quite the process as many of you can agree.. I’m a mascara hoarder I love them.. But it’s so awesome not to have to put any on.

They stay on for up to 4 weeks if your really good.. But I’ve lost a few so far and one eye is getting sparse.

CONS:

Other than the cost ($80) they are great! But I’ve seen other stores at $200 a set..  I am going to plan better next time… AKA (an event or something)

The sooner you get the refill the cheaper it is, since you wouldn’t have lost as many lashes.

She said it would be about $30-40 for a refill in 2-3 weeks if I don’t loose alot..  It took 30 mins for a full set application on me because I had so many lashes already..

If you don’t have alot of lashes it might be longer to apply and more $$

I’ve seen some eyelashes fall out which makes me mad because that’s like $3 a eyelash! LMAO..

Showers and washing your face is a DISASTER!! I know your not suppose to rub your eyes like crazy to begin with but let’s face it I love rubbing my eyes in the shower/daily face wash..

With eyelash extensions you CANNOT rub your eyes. You splash them with water.  But since your not wearing mascara there really isn’t a reason to scrub really hard as that’s the only reason why I did that to begin with.  But that’s a hard habit to break!  Also you must use all OIL FREE products on your eyes as OIL will make them fall off!

END RESULT:

Will I get them again? I think so, I might even get the refill in a few weeks but it could be a costly up keep if I loose alot of lashes.

But they are beautiful, comfortable and easy to manage (except for rubbing your eyes)

They are super pretty and I’ve received lots of compliments on my long lashes!

Sorry again for all the photos of myself..

But they are awesome lashes! And some of you asked for reviews of it! I was REALLY hesitant about getting them! But I’m really happy I did!  Let me know if you try them out! Show us your before and after!

I got really bad ones before, but I'm trying them again in a few weeks! $80 is a steal here, everyone knows they can charge $100+ so they do!

I think they look great! I love the idea of getting out of bed in the morning and leaving the house without having to put on mascara. You should get some more when your show is debuting ... you can have a fun preview party!
