Here's the delicious end result!
Nom nom nom...
Asian Lettuce Wraps Recipe
16 Boston Bibb or butter lettuce leaves
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons minced pickled ginger
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
Asian chile pepper sauce (optional)
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 teaspoons Asian (dark) sesame oil
I opted to use ground turkey instead of beef and I didn't have pickled ginger so I just used regular ginger. I also got alittle carried away and doubled up my sauce because the first mix in of the sauce was clearly not enough for this saucey girl.
So we begin by chopping your onions
I just went ahead and browned the turkey and threw the onions in with it
I didn't care to waste another plate by moving the turkey out

While that is all cooking measure out your sauces, hoisin, soy, ginger, garlic, rice wine vinegar and hot sauce (the cock sauce) Hoisin sauce is soooo good I might have licked the spoon after
Then it should look like this just a big cup of saucey goodness!
Then chop up your water chestnuts (that is unless you already bought them sliced) and your green onions, mine were fresh from the garden!

This is the Pampered Chef manual food processor and it's heaven sent get one it's amazing!
Then add your sauce mixture into the meat, you'll notice the meat is already sauced up, I wanted more so I whipped up another batch of sauce
Add in your water chestnuts
Then add your green onions mix well and then here's the end result in the pan

Load it up onto some lettuce

I made some fried rice to accompany it

Then get your grub on!

Seriously these are AMAZING! They were soooooooooo good
Do you think any of you would want to link up for something like this? I'd love to make it a linky party and see what other yummy recipes you all whip up every week?!
