{yosemite or bust!}

As after a nice relaxing weekend of wine tasting through the Sacramento and Amador valley, we decided to scratch one off the bucket list and head over to Yosemite.

Just a 3 hour car ride to see some AMAZING sights!

We woke up at 4:00am (okay I woke up at 4am) he slept in till 4:30 or later...

Got ready and hit the road by 5:30 after packing a small picnic and then we were out the door.

Half way there and you reach these this huge up hill climb where it even tells you to turn off your air conditioner because it's such a steep grade.  We were super excited and it was so pretty so we jumped out and took some pictures of the valleys.
After we finally made it into the park we literally kept stopping at every pull over point.  This was the first one here..
Then we came to a point that overlooked Half Dome
Hi Half Dome! We're excited to see you!
I like reading all the signs about anything and everything..
What you can't even fathom is how freaking huge these mountains are.
A pretty river running through the valley
Yosemite Valley - That's us!
Once we got into the valley we stopped at Bridal Veil Fall and took more pictures!
Was able to use my tripod once again to take silly photos of ourselves.
Then we took a short walk to the base of Bridal Veil Fall
Then we went into this valley part - oh gorgeous..
Words can't describe how beautiful this place was so glad we went!

The deer here must been in heaven no one can hunt them.  So they just wander around like feet away from you.  There was a woman like inches from him taking a photo.  CRAZY!
We then took a little walk over to the bottom of Lower Yosemite Falls

This is huge.. Seriously I can't imagine how tall this really is..
The redwoods were huge.. The waterfall was huge.. Everything in Yosemite is huge..
We then left and went towards Wawona which leads you to Glacier Point
Before getting there you land yourself at Tunnel View where you can see all the big mountains straight on through to Half Dome
Half way on our drive to Glacier Point just another side of Yosemite from up top

So we are now at the top of where we were originally looking up at.. CRAZY!

Such a great trip I'm so glad we went.  We stayed the night that night in Sonora and then on Tuesday morning made our way to San Francisco.
Stay tuned.. San Francisco up next!

My dad and his wife got married in the field by Bridalveil Falls, the one you're standing in!

Side note: I totally thought that Yosemite was towards Southern California. I never knew it was a 3-4 hour drive east of me!
