{high tea for the bride}

This past weekend a friend threw a surprise tea party for our bride Wendy in San Francisco.  I threw some crafts together and we had ourselves a good old time.

Since the surprise was to have high tea at the Fairmont in SF we threw together a tea cup set for each of the girls.

The cups had their personalized names on them and then on the inside we put a pair of earrings, tea bags, nail polish, tea cookies and a coffee cozy.

Cups and saucers personalized by me!
Each person brought a little something to snack on but I had too much champagne by that point to take a photo of those items..
I made tissue pom pom balls for decoration for a photo booth prop.
 Also created this gem of a countdown sign for the bride!
The heart is a chalk board so she can change the date as the wedding approaches

My tripod and remote shutter coming out as usual
 Champagne toast before leaving for tea
We took these pictures with my new 35mm lens I bought on Friday! Super cute and fuzzy backgrounds! Just the look I wanted!

 Since it was high tea we of course had cute fascinator hats or headbands

 We had yummy tea sandwiches and yummy desserts!
Afterwards we went back to her apartment and played a few games and grand a few bottles of champagne!
 We got to play who knows the bride best and I of course kicked ass.  But I was very worried at first as I didn't know some easy ones. But when it came to the important things I nailed it!
Overall a super fun day!  Can't wait for the rest of the festivities to commence!
