The anticipation builds!!

I'm so excited to start on my quilting journey that I've been finding lots and lots of new blogs for quilting! There are ALOT and I came across this one, Our Cozy Nest she's having a giveaway for a ribbon blanket and block which sort of correlates into how I started on my new journey because I wanted to make an apron for myself but then starting finding blogs that have tutorials on how to make baby blankets, quilts, purses and everything in between! Now I really want to try something like her ribbon blanket because my cousins two of them just had their babies! One had twins a boy and girl and then the other had a little girl we're going to go up to Oregon to visit them soon and I'd love to give them a home made gift! I can't wait for Friday night I think that's when I'm going to run over to JoAnn's in Elk Grove and grab all my goodies to start quilting! Hopefully this doesn't amount to alot but I figure it will I just hope I get the hang of it! My boyfriend even said well your first quilt will probably be alittle crooked!~ Because I tried sewing something awhile back for him and the lines were the straightest lines ever but practice makes perfect!!
