It's here! Today's the day I start quilting! Well right now it'll be piecing but soon down the road I'll be quilting as soon as my Auntie Nancy can find her walking foot for the sewing machine since I can't stipple yet. Here's what I'll be starting on in a few short hours! One Sweet Baby Quilt!
The baby quilt part is an understatement in my eyes because this thing is huge! I bought 4 of the Moda Charm Packs by Hushabye in Tula Pink. Which consists of a bunch of fabric squares that I'm going to piece together. I'm so excited! Hopefully my Aunt does have the walking foot though because her sewing machine that I've used for the past year (thank you Auntie) is an expensive one! It's a Bernina 1090 I've looked at the foot for it and it's 150 dollars! Eek!
So here's to a nice glass a white wine, lots of DVR'd shows and my new quilt! All of which I'll need to have in order to keep me busy while sewing in my sewing room! Yes sewing room! I'm about to transform the second bedroom into my sewing/craft room until it becomes a baby room or guest room. Right now it's a catch all room!

Good luck on this project! I am also new to quilting and bought some material yesterday - I have washed it and hopefully today I will start a project too. I was thinking about just trying a "wonky block" to use for a cushion, just to get me started. :)
