Quarter of a Century!

That's right the time has come! I'm turning 25, in the last few months when people have asked that wonderful question "How old are you?" I've simply replied "I'm turning 25" it's like I skipped the 24th year and just prepared myself for 25. For some reason 25 sounds so much more distinguished than 24 it's literally like I've grown up with just one number added on.

So here's to this weekend! 4 Girlfriends are coming in from San Francisco, 1 from Lodi and 3 from Sacramento and of course no other way to start the weekend off but with a date night/birthday dinner with my boyfriend!

So here's to a fabulous wine tasting birthday weekend, our limo picks us up tomorrow morning 9:30am and we have a 7 hour adventure in front of us. We're heading up to Amador County to go wine tasting! I've never been and I'm thrilled that we are going. Aside from the fact that the weather forecast says it's going to be 101 eek! I'm very excited!

Yesterday (I really do realize I'm crazy) I made the following for our lunch time picnic (aka replenishment of carbs!):

Party Pinwheels - Wrapped up and waiting for slicing
Mediterranean Sandwich - Grilled the Eggplant last night and cooked the added ingredient of chicken and tonight have to saute baby bella mushrooms
Sun Dried Tomato Basil Orzo - Need to slice up some extra basil and pack the Parmesan
Cheesecake Factory Bruschetta (I added in White Northern Beans) I didn't use cilantro though
And lastly I am making a turkey avocado, arugula, mozzarella garlic mayo and pesto sandwiches but that's for tomorrow morning to make before hand, this recipe is from a Cooking Light cookbook.

AND I am almost tempted to make Chicken Salad but I think that might be a bit much!

Stephanie is making spinach dip, Lindsey is bringing the bread and everyone else is bringing their bad selves and we're going to have a great time! I've enlisted Victoria to be the official picture taker as she takes lots of photos and I love it! I'm going to bring my "big" camera to capture even more fabulous photos too bad I don't know how to work it that well!
