Lately I've been trying really hard to loose some pounds. For all of January I only did cardio workouts which of course didn't really show too many results. The last two weeks I've been working out with a girlfriend doing cardio and weights and she uses this slimmer belts. I had no idea what the heck they were or why she was even using them. She puts it on before the workout, with a sweatshirt too during cardio. Turns out it's some secret I've never knew about. I've always heard about and seen people wear sauna suits or trashbags to really sweat while working out. I just didn't know what the real idea behind it all was. Well she got me thinking that I should purchase one too, helps too that it's at my favorite stores Ross and Marshall's.
I picked one up yesterday afternoon during lunch. Here's the one I got, Bally's Slimmer Belt with Magnets. (I have a previous back injury from soccer, which has been flaring up lately) so the magnets help.

I bought it for $7.99 at Marshall's but I heard they are cheaper at Ross. Wore it today at the gym for my cardio workout and I sweated like crazy! I am going to measure my waist tonight and then track the progress to see if this is really working. But right now my stomach feels pretty tight (but I tried out a new ab exercise) and my abs seem a little less squishy is what I'll call it.
It makes sense when you think about it though because your stomach really never sweats like your arms and or chest and legs do. It helps then to get a sweat on your tummy. I'm still sceptical but I read tons of reviews on Amazon and they all seem pretty positive. Here's some of what people say about it. (These reviews are about a different type of Slimmer Belt by Bally that has zippers instead of velcro but it's still the same effect either way, the zipper one would limit how tight you can make it)
I'm a big review reader and if other people use it and like it then I'll give it a whirl. Ever since college I've had more trouble with tummy weight, most of my weight I gain is around my stomach below the belly button and sides. I freak out about muffin top syndrome too, but I am not an offender! I repeat I am not a muffin top offender! From the sounds of the reviews this helps burn that weight up and help to sweat it out.
I'll keep you posted, but my girlfriend that uses it has a TINY waist and she's had 3 kids! I hope it does work because that would be most wonderful to have a tiny tummy again. My nickname used to be 6 pack.. I think it's more like a total 6 kegs I drank during my college years. Ha ha!
Have you ever heard about these?
I'm 25 and this is the first I've ever heard about it... I'm wondering if it's a secret and I was left out..
P.S. Thanks for all the well wishes on feeling better, I loaded up on Advil Cold & Sinus and so far so good! Except I got my workout buddy sick...
