New Idea!! Fitness Friday's!

Okay ladies, I always read all of Natasha's posts about her fabulous training for her 1/2 marathon coming up, then Brown Girl wrote about her eating habits and exercise routine which is really similar to mine.  Since I'm feeling REALLY good lately about my exercising, 

I think it's time for me to enlist in a Fitness Friday - Weekly Post!
 Whoa Watch Out Now.. Holy Abs!?! Give me some of those and tiny thighs! 

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about exercising especially within the past few months.  I really started weight training last year doing the Fitness For Life workouts but I fell off the band wagon because I got really bored after awhile.  I just followed what they told me to do on the paper and then couldn't figure out anything else.  
Now it's a completely different story.  I have for the first time in my life REALLY started to workout 6 days a week, in which my 7th day off I feel yucky because I haven't gone to the gym.  I used to always do step classes and cardio but never tackled the weights.  But now I'm doing weight training 3 days a week and cardio 6 days a week, 2 days heavy cardio and 2 days light cardio.  


What I really think helped the most is that I left 24hour fitness for weight training days.  I joined a new gym by my house which has endless supplies of free weights, bosu balls, exercise balls, balance bars, medicine balls, steps etc.  Which normally 24hour fitness locks up after the exercise classes are over.  Then there's the fact that you feel like a piece of meat to the guys in the gym when you have to do squats or stretch you hamstrings.

Yes that's my butt, but it's not there for you to gaze at gym rat.  I'm workin it out to give my honey a nice view not you.   But of course I don't mind looking at you while I work out it just distracts me though.. Lol

With that I'm going to start my own little Fitness Friday! It'll give me something to look forward to every week, as well it'll be an online journal for tracking what I'm doing weekly, what's changed etc. 

Hopefully some of you might take interest and possibly start working out too! I can tell ya I'm wearing size 4 pants right now from New York and Co. ones that months ago, I couldn't fit into because I had (ssssh... a muffin top....) eew that's right I said it these pants were too tight, so instead of wearing them, these pants hit the back of the closet never to be seen again. Well not anymore my friends.  Right now I'm pulling them up when I get up and trying to keep them up while I walk. 

It's such a good feeling and I've found the right tools to (keep me on track.  I'd really like to dedicate my life to always staying in shape and breaking a sweat daily, as Matthew McConaughey says. 
Mmmm Hmmm break that sweat he does shirtless for us all to admire..
Okay back to the subject at hand..

I'm off to search the web for my Friday morning arm & circuit training workout!  I think that's the best part of it, I find and print out the exercises and use them at the gym.

I'm glad you're doing this :-) It'll help me stay motivated. I've started the shred again and doing cardio.. I need to be in good shape this summer for the beach!

Can I ask what gym you go to? Or is it a local one I wouldn't know of? lol
