3. Bed linens and towels. When we moved in together we both had a collection of stuff of course. That's where you have to learn to either toss what you loved so much or agree to own it together. Well let's see my bedroom before we got together looked like this,
Where as his collection of stuff was from Nautica and was really cute but it was a man's room, we needed our together bedspread. So my BEAUTIFUL Shabby Chic has been pushed aside and we bought a new bedding set. I don't want to toss them, so I keep them at my mom's in my old bedroom. But we did however keep his bedspread which really needs to go it's old at least 4 years it's worn, but I still have it taking up a chunk of my closet in my "dress and shoe" room.
2. Shoe boxes of memories. Okay this is a hard one, some people either have this or they don't. I literally have shoe boxes full of pictures, letters, memento's etc.
Okay though before you think I'm crazy. Its consist of my prom photos, homecoming corsages, you name it. I don't know if I should part with it all. BUT these things aren't stored at my house they are all at my mom's too along with my beautiful bed set. Heaven forbid that my mom ever moves because I def. do not have room to store any of it!
1. Finally I would have to say purses or beauty products. I really could name a bunch more things. But I picked purses because I KNOW I have some purses that I really will never ever, ever use again. We're talking old cheap purses that I have from HS or college. But I just can't part with them but if I did part with them then there would be more room for my LV that I dream of owning some day soon. I also said beauty products.
Really though I have stuff from SOOOOO long ago now were talking like 10 years old, old. Sunday night I put a mud face mask on that I think I've had since 7th grade. Really? I put that on my face from 7th GRADE?! I thought hmm... I hope this doesn't make me break out. It didn't (fingers crossed, my pores could be plotting against me as we speak) make me break out but I think that was the first time I've used it since 03? Really? Really? I am actually currently on a product strike. (Minus makeup) I am not buying any more hair stuff, face stuff or lotions until I use up EVERYTHING I have. It's that bad.
BUT aside from this I give myself a pat on the back because I donated a laundry basket full of shoes to Goodwill on Tuesday. I stood there trying on a few pairs before my friend said just let them go it's okay. So that was a big step to get rid of shoes. I really could have worn some but really I haven't worn them in ages so why own them anymore.
So do you think I'm horrible for owning a face mask since 7th grade or still owning boxes of memories from the past (plus high school stuff)?

6 Lovely Notes:
I totally have shoe boxes of stuff from the good ol' days that include pics of my ex. Same thing here though, I dated the same guy from Sophmore through Senior year so there are a bunch of milestones that included him. My mom just made me take all my stuff from her house so I am trying to hold on to it all, hope it will last. I love going through my mom and grandma's old stuff!
No way are you horrible..I still have my middle school nailpolishes and also a huge box of pictures that really need to go! lol. and what what was that i heard about Coach & a giveaway!? hahaha just playin =)
Purses-- good one! I can always justify BUYING a new purse, but I can never justify getting rid of one. I'm pretty sure I have bags I've never used in my closet, just taking up room!

Confessions From A Working Mom
I keep shoe boxes full of memories too! Don't throw them away, I always tell myself that it will be really cool for my kids to one day have memories of what I was like as a young person. I always went through my mom's old high school stuff when I was young. Especially prom dresses and fashion you've invested in, I hope one day Belle is into it.
I have SOOO many old pics, too! It's so hard to just throw them away though, ya know?
Have a great weekend, girlie!
I finally had to go through and donate some purses b/c I had too many I'd never use again. And that bedspread looks perfect for a guest room some day!
Thanks for playing our game!
