forever in our hearts

Yesterday came as a shock, as a surprise and a day we hoped would never come. Early Tuesday morning a very dear loved one to me and especially to Dustin passed away.  Grandpa Marvin, his grandpa was taken from us as he peacefully left this world and entered into another after many months fighting to stay here with us.  

There’s nothing to say to make it better, only tremendous amount of love and time can hope to heal the wounds left when a loved one leaves us.  He was like a father to Dustin and he can never be replaced. 

In the short amount of time I’ve been in this relationship, I’ve never grown so close to someone and considered them one of my own and to be accepted as the same.  After loosing my grandparents at such a young age, one set who I wasn’t close to and another that had a language barrier, it left me without grandparents for most of my life.

Grandpa Marvin filled that void in my life for me.  He was the grandparent that I never was able to have all these years.  He brought such joy and love to me and to Dustin he’ll be missed tremendously for years and months to come when Dustin and I get married, have children, his great grandchildren the ones he never got to meet. 

I don’t know what else to say other than he’ll be forever in our hearts and forever in our prayers watching over us day to day.  

We’ll miss you forever and ever.

 

He’s the one holding the little doggie.  Dogs were his life that’s Taco this was on his 80th birthday two years ago.  He just celebrated his 81st only a month ago.
