weekend of tylenol

Weekend recap coming at ya 4 days late but better late than never right? I didn't take too many photos but I sure did too many shots.  HA not really but well ya kinda I did lets face it.  Friday we went up to the local restaurant and met up with a couple we haven't seen literally in about 2 years.  The four of us headed over to another local bar and celebrated our friends 31st birthday.  Again no photos but lots of gross shots.  I even told the bartender (who is one of our friends) that this shot should be illegal because it was so gross.  It was a cherry bomb.  I"ll remember that for the next time anyone tries to make me take one.  GROSS.  It reminded me of a cherry cough syrup and not the good ones.

Saturday we worked around the house.  I showed you photos of the in between, here is the after after my honey finished the toppers and cut the 4x4's down.
The posts left up are for my arbor that he's going to build soon too.  Ah it's so pretty I love looking out at the back yard now!

This is what you see when you walk out my sliding back door, a big air conditioner! Not anymore, we put the lattice around it and we are eventually going to put a glass slab on top to make it a table to rest cocktail on.  Or food, but mostly cocktails :)

The poor Japanese Maple I practically killed last year.  I swear it's coming back to life I think.  I forgot to water it during a 100 degree weather week.  My bad! I didn't say I had a green thumb.

Then I took a quick nap because lets face it my headache finally wore off.  Then we went out to dinner with another set of couples to our favorite sushi spot, Mikuni's.
Me and my boys
He just had to make a funny face. So I played along for once.
The group of us out to dinner and full from sushi!

After recuperating the next morning, we did the usual stuff... head to McDonald's for a breakfast sandwich.  What? No judging I needed grease! I picked up stuff for Superbowl munchies and then headed home.
Then our neighbor said lets go fly the kite! Um okay? I was thinking like little kites.  Um no he's talking like the kind you use to kite surf!
My honey giving it a try.  It was not easy the thing can literally catapult you into the air.
Whoa buddy don't let go! Well you are actually suppose to let go in case it will literally toss you through the air.
Hence this photo! It took him backwards.
Our neighbor showing us how it's really done. I had flip flops on but I'll have to try it next time.  Isn't this also cool that this is literally right outside my front door? This WHOLE field?!  We love it! Perfect for things like this!
