turf war day 2 !!

After a semi good nights sleep we woke up early (me to get all cute for the cameras) Dusty to start working in the yard before everyone else.

 

Breakfast, coffee and a good application of lip gloss and we are ready to roll at about 8:30 we start the day which will end at 3:30pm.

 

The boys started and finished the stucco on the planter box

I was learning how to lay the tiles in and grout them

  

More tiling action, while the plants were being put into the planter box

 

The waterfall/fire feature was being stuccoed

The boys were busy planting more stuff

The artists were turning a vintage hot tub into a new looking one

 

After we finished the tile we had to all make sure we weren’t stepping on them, here I am below trying to hop over them! Not stepping on it though!

 

The rope lights were installed into the patio cover

 

The beginnings of the Lil Love Shack were happening

 

The sod was laid and the garden was being assembled

 

Who hoo my new garden! Plus my girlfriend is sporting my headbands!

 

The day literally went by so fast that everything was popping up everywhere you looked!

 

I left for an interview and turned back and hello love shack! Was up in action!

 

The flat screen mount was being installed

 

The beginnings of the keg table was being mounted in the cement

 

The waterfall was almost ready, piping installed and the glass beads were laid down

The glass table top was installed onto the keg table

Then the pictures stopped because it was such a panic your screaming

 

“10 minutes! 5 minutes! We have one minute people! Get out of the yard!!”

After we were kicked out of the yards whether they were finished or not Ahmed brought the judges through!

Our neighbors house was first up for judging and then they headed on over to our house

 

The prizes up for grabs to the winning yard!

We are all outside waiting for the final results to be determined and tallied up

This was everyone who helped out in our yard! Crazy how many people there were!!

Okay the results are in.. They are sitting there in his hand!!

We look a tad bit nervous for the results no? I knew we had it in the bag but the fear of the judges not liking it is all up to them!

Ahmed is telling us maybe we should just leave, we don’t need to know the winner right?

 

THE WINNERS ARE…

JENNIFER AND DUSTIN!! Holler!! We won by 59 points!! 59 POINTS people! A landslide otherwise!! Needless to say we were so excited!! I love this sequence of photos.

 

Ahmed says “the viewers are always the first to know”

 he shows the camera the winning couples names

but doesn’t say it out loud.

Then the high fives all around start!!

 

We wrap up the shot and we’re ready to get the party started!!

 

You have to wait for an hour or two before you head back there because the producers are taping each team for their post interviews then they take all the pretty camera shots.
