That's a good title if you ask me for a blog post..
Now we're still on day one here of the Turf War
Let's get back to the recap!!
We cleaned the hot tub they gave us...

Ahmed said in the show that I have a condition called "Stand Around Its Idis"
Me just standing there.. So here I am standing..
And actually I'm waiting!! Not just standing.. Waiting is better..
They pull you off one thing to start another and you have to wait for your camera men
Then had to finish up what I started on the planter box
After I've caulked all the cinder blocks together

Placed re-bar in them as well as filled them with concrete. I then used mortar to fill the gaps since we made a round planter box.
Soon after they snatched us away to see what our secret building material is!

Waiting for it to arrive..
Ahmed, us and the camera crew filming the reveal.
It was a steel grate that they use to sort big rocks from little ones given to us by Teichert.
You either can use it or loose it.
But we're judged on the use of the secret building material so it's best to use it!!

After that we return and see even more progress within minutes!!

All of the concrete was ready for the electrical to be ran and other needs.

Then they dropped in our new double level bar/table. Which has to be filled with concrete.

I of course get pulled away to another "project" the staining of the wood that is going to be used on our custom made patio cover.

During all of this my girlfriends were inside making sure everything was prepared for dinner that night as well as getting things ready for the "props/staging" for the second day.

On one side of the yard the guys are starting on the water/fire feature by setting the posts

The irrigation was in place and ready for fill dirt.

Then later that day, our second water fall feature was all built and ready for a scratch coat.
Then soon after our steel recycled beams were ready for placement on the patio.

They support our SUPER awesome canopy cover. CUSTOM canopy to be exact!

After all the fill dirt was put in and the irrigation was ready, they decided to drop the plants in!
Which I was told NEVER happens on the first day of a Turf War.
The concrete was poured onto the bar tables.

The concrete guru for tables fixed any blemishes

The other two I beams were put attached to the concrete and then we could add the wood beams

They added all the edges then put on the parallel ones

The guy here on the right is my honey's brother he's huge I believe he's 6'10.

The scratch coat was added to the planter and the waterfall features

They finished up the rest of the wood beams for the day

The garden planter boxes were ready for install in the morning

We cleaned up the rest of the yard and wrapped it up at about 7pm the first night
Then we called for some pizza and beer!!
Stay Tuned for Day 2!!
