{Inspire Me: Healthy}

All In My Twenties

Well I be darned! I joined Weight Watchers!

Like last Thursday after I saw Miss Kristen's blog post about her start up on WW.  I was inspired what can I say - I've always wanted to try it and last Thursday was my day!

I had been so unhappy lately with my weight.  I wake up and just go "ugh" as I look at my tummy..

I've seen myself contemplating skipping out on a river day because I didn't want to sport a two piece.
(I did sport it but was super self conscious the whole time)

Afterwards I saw a photo of myself and decided I shouldn't wear two pieces so I have been sporting my one piece since then.

Which I've worn it like 3 times in public now and I feel mortified every time I do
(no offense to the one piece wearers it's just not me I'm a California girl with a pool a one piece was in 3rd grade)

One piece no more!

Because hopefully in the near future my skinny friend Jenn will reappear!

I just found this post I made last year.. Yes over a year ago..I had told you all that I was going to try loosing the weight again.. Well that failed I didn't loose my 10 lbs for the Turf War but I did gain an additional 10 since then....

Here's some photos of my small but big journey thus far...

This was about two years ago when I lost almost 20 lbs..

This was my lowest weight since who knows probably sophomore year of college.  I was wearing a tight fitted shirt and jeans that I hadn't fit in years!

This was August 2010 - I was feeling super fly at this weight..  I made a cute little Indian if I don't say so myself...

Fast forward to August 2011
My face is fuller and I'm starting to wear more loose fitting clothes to hide my weight...

Fast forward again to March 2012
This was St. Patty's Day - my face is huge.. My arms are even bigger.. Blah I felt like crap this day and made a disaster of my room trying to find clothes that fit me
Fast forward to July 2012
Last month I went to LA (Land of the Skinny People) I felt o-kay but still didn't feel like myself
-------------

So bottom line... I'm just not comfortable in my own skin anymore! I want to be comfortable and learn more about what's best to eat (not a whole thing of brie cheese and crackers every day after work)

-------------

That's where Weight Watchers has come in to play!

I joined last Thursday went to the meeting and had my first weigh in.

Blah.. I already knew my weight.

I weighed in today one week from starting WW and I'm down -1.8 lbs! :)

Total Lost: -1.8 lb
Total to Go: 23.2 lb

So far I'm really happy with Weight Watchers I like the PointsPlus program because I'm allowed to have 26 points a day at my age, height and weight amount.  You get bonus points for working out and you get 49 more points to use as bonus to your discretion!

Here's to counting points, healthy choices LOTS of veggies! Add exercising for a healthy new me!

This is what my fridge almost looks like now

Thanks to Kristen for hosting the link up! Perfect for me since Thursday is my weight in day!

I hear ya girl ... it is never fun not feeling good in your own skin! WW has always tempted me ... I am not into a bunch of math though ... my brain doesn't operate with numbers. Is the point system hard to follow?
Good luck ... cheering you on!!

Good luck girl!! The hardest thing to do is lose that last little bit of weight, but just stick to it and you will see results! :)

Good job girl! I've been debating on joining WW - I'm in the same boat as you. I no longer like pics of myself, I am not comfortable in my own skin, and I just want to look better!

Good job on getting started! I did not start weight watchers but I had my own 'omg is that how big I really am' moment 3 months ago. With eating better and working out i'm down 10lbs(my goal is to lose 16 so I'm getting closer)! Keep it up, there are some days that are hard but just push through. You will be so happy you did!
