{the bean and big ass vodka lemonades}

Day two in Chicago we had another round of sightseeing. I was in charge.. Thank you very much I loved every second of it!  We started off by sleeping in.  Yes sleeping in.  It was fabulous.

After that we hopped on the bus and took it down to Millennium Park. Where of course the infamous "Bean" is.

We stayed at McCormick Place this was the convention side of the area
Just arriving to the park - pretty trees and landscaping all over this city!
These water walls were pretty cool too..
 Obligatorily picture with the sign..
Momma! I can tell you there's nothing like spending time with your mom.  I am so glad to be back at home and spending all this quality time with her.  You don't realize how much you miss it until your back with your loved ones again.
All the kids playing the in waterfalls.
The exhibit they had out in the park
Where my new blogger pic came from. Mom had some good photo skills!
Looking down you can see the EL line in the back ground along with all the skyscrapers
The concert part of the park was amazing.  The orchestra was practicing so we sat and listened to them each day. It was my mom's only request along with some tasty pizza.

Every Friday and Saturday they have free concerts too!

Welcome to the Bean! Insert standard funny photos..

Lots of selfies sorry.. But I'm not..
Enjoyed a Chicago Dog.. Super tasty!
Then we walked over to the fountain.. The one that was in the Married with Children opening credits!  Aka the Buckingham Fountain

My cousin Matty and I being goofy

Can't remember the last time someone put me on their shoulders but Matty insisted..

All the flowers were so pretty! I couldn't take it! I love flowers!
Just wish they were delivered to my office more..  Who wants to send me some?
We then hit the John Hancock Tower.  Instead of going to the observatory we went to the lounge.  If you go to the observatory you pay $18 for a view.  If you go to the lounge you buy a drink for $8.  I think I'll take the beer and a view.
This was from inside the ladies bathroom!

Shortly after I left my family to their own devices and I went and met up with my friend from college who just moved there.  We went to a few places.  The first was The Wit Hotel to their roof top bar.

Then we left to adventure into Old Town where we stopped and had dinner at Pourhouse
Then we left and went to the Fireplace Inn where they offered half off GIANT cocktails.
Literally was called a BIG ASS Vodka Lemonade.  We were already quite tipsy so we just ordered the 22 oz ones and we're good to go.
Me and this guy met our first year of college living in the dorms together.  We spent alot of random days doing all types of mischievous things but we had some great laughs remembering all the silly things we did in college and reminiscing about the old friends and catching up.

After that I met back up with my family around 10 and then headed back to the hotel... EXHAUSTED.. and buzzed I hit the hay quickly! All to do it again the next day!
