{the grand canyon}

We woke up super early on Sunday and went and picked up the rental car and started the long 4 and a half hour journey to the Grand Canyon.  There was alot of dessert.. Alot of nothing.. But we did find some yummy beef jerky.

We stopped by the Hoover Dam and saw the sights..

Then finally hours later we arrived at the Grand Canyon!

Grand it was indeed! I went when I was about 12 but coming back at 28 makes you appreciate it much more..

There was a rainstorm in the middle of the canyon how cool does that look?

It was sunny but then for a few seconds it would rain..

We went to the South Rim of the canyon and walked around for a bit.. It was already late in the afternoon by the time we got there so we only had a few hours to spend there before driving back.

There are free shuttles you can hop on and drive around to different points in the rim so we did that and went alittle further down.

There were crazy squirrels.. This one was gorging himself on ice cream.

Then while we were leaving there were some Elk wandering around on the property!

We hoped on in the car and headed back to Las Vegas...

Then after that we grabbed a late night dinner and I had to head back and pack since my flight left at 5:30am.. NOT doing that AGAIN! yikes!

Overall it was a fun trip! I wish I would have gotten out at night time because I bought all these sassy dresses to wear each night and didn't even end up wearing any of them.  I wanted to dance! Only accomplished that one night.. the first night..
