{final day in Lisboa}

After a good 10 day trip to Spain and Portugal I ended the trip on 7/4 being my last day in Lisboa before having to fly out on July 5th.   We decided today was beach day! I don't even recall if we ate.. Oh yes we did we had breakfast/lunch at this cute little cafe with soup and sandwiches.

The streets were all so festively decorated - with stuff like this.  It was the Barrio Alto
Still can't get over how pretty the streets were

We had to go and find the train station - to which I thought I Google mapped the correct place.  Nope I didn't we were in the total wrong part of town.  I got fired after that from planning.  Leave it up to the Spanish one to figure it out.

We finally were off on a train and got to see their Golden Gate Bridge.. Yep - it's identical to the one in SF.  But SF was modeled after this one! Mind blown!
Finally after some walking we arrived to the beach!

Praia de Carcavelos

Touche - To Summer Bitches!
Cheers! there were guys who walked around selling beer and these yummy cream filled donuts they were so good!
 Happy 4th!

We got back to the apartment got ready and pre-drank.
Today was the day Brazil was playing in the world cup so we found a bar and watched and it was so much fun!
Bica abaixo - Bar! We had tons of Caipirinha drinks

Brazil ended up winning the game and it was SO much fun to be there.  These guy of course wanted to take a pic with us American's.
After the game was over we needed food so we had a nice little dinner out on the street.

We ate at Volta dos Sabores

My flight was at I believe 5:40am the next day so I figured I should just stay up all night.  That was a terrible idea.  I've never been so tired.  But I got to the airport at 3:30am and then luckily there was one coffee place open!
Then finally I boarded the plane in Portugal to fly back to Barcelona to catch my long journey home.
After a ton of hours later I finally landed in Chicago - I made my way to Garrett's popcorn and then made my way back to California by 10:30pm that night.  Yep I was up for A LONG TIME.

After all was said and done - the trip was awesome.  I got to travel with my best friend and meet two of her girlfriends.  I was able to see another best friend get married in a gorgeous villa in Spain.  I was able to broaden my horizon and see the world.

Next up.. Who knows but I'm sure glad that I didn't miss this chance to travel!
