{Lisbon & Sintra}

After a good nights sleep we were off to see the city of Lisbon in all it's beauty! I really fell in love with Lisbon, the way everything was built and the architecture of all the streets and buildings are gorgeous.  It's probably my very favorite thing about traveling, is seeing how every place you go looks so different and how buildings are built differently in every place you go to (Europe) specifically.

Our apartment door - so cute.  Holy moly I was tan!
The steps that we had to walk up to get to a street.
All the buildings had tiles on them - so pretty!
A main street with cafes on the street! We need more of these in the US!
Ah the floors so gorgeous!
Lisbon is a sister city to San Francisco - the Golden Gate Bridge actually looks exactly like a bridge here in Lisbon.  It was modeled after it.
We walked down to the water front and found a cute cafe to eat at for breakfast/lunch.
Our view from the table
We indulged with a waffle and ice cream! YUM!
Afterwards we were off to adventure and made our game plan for the day.  In Barcelona we were alittle more well planned.  When we got here we just came with nothing in mind at all.
We decided to go to Sintra for the day, which made for another train system to master.
We took this pic of me at the hydrangeas and then soon after came to realize that our train ticket didn't have enough "lengths" or something on them so when we were trying to exit the gates wouldn't open becuase we didn't have enough money on them.  We were literally TRAPPED inside the train station.  Nataly got karate chopped by the doors and it was the most hysterical thing I've seen in a long time.
Sintra is comprised of a few castles so we hopped on another hop on hop off bus to see one of them.
We were starving and we had eaten so much bread and cheese for so long - we actually found a Chinese restaurant in Sintra right outside the train station so we had some chow mein before heading back! It was so good.
Then after getting back we hit up the same little outside bar on the steps and enjoyed more tapas and wine!
Tasty wine!
This was our street name - Travessa Da Portugesa - we headed back and cleaned up and decided to hit the town and dance!
The bars scene all just spills onto the street it was so neat.
Beers a plenty - trash roaming the streets of Lisboa
It made for a fun first night out the next day we hit the beach because it was the 4th of July!
