We all plan our special birthday outfits right? Of course! It normally consists of new shoes, make up, jewelry, dresses, hair etc. Well what about when we were babies who plans it out then? Mom's of course!
I have recently been making lots of birthday shirts for my friends little ones. I just recently finished up two shirts for my friend who had a 31st birthday for her husband and a 1st birthday for her son. I tried something new and strayed away from my normal fabric applique and I used my new Cricut and freezer paper to paint a shirt instead.
Look how adorable they turned out?! I love it! I was alittle hesitant to make the dad's with the little graphics but she said it was up to me so I went with it and made them matching shirts.
Such a cute photo right? That's a good little memory!
Here is her little guy in it.
Here they are right after I finished them. These are the backs
On the fronts I put their ages, 31 for dad's and 1 for little guys.
Little guy also had a pocket on his so I put an airplane on the front in yellow.
Another one I also made was for my girlfriend and sorority sister Adrienne, her daughter turned one and also sported a birthday onesie for her party.
I sent over some fabric choices in an email and Adrienne picked out this cute little one. On the back we also did initials I think it turned out pretty cute but I kinda forgot about pants she would wear so I think the letters turned out too big. Right Adrienne? I think I could see in the photos that Belle's last initial was getting cut off.
Here's Belle modeling her little onesie for her mom.
I think she likes it!
She's such a cutie it's been fun watching her grow up in pictures, but we haven't had the chance to meet her but hopefully soon! I just need to make my way out to the bay area. But her birthday party looked like she had a lot of fun.
If anyone is interested, I would love to make some for your own little ones too!
Just email me with some details and we can work out pricing etc.
Adrienne and along with all the other girlfriends I know keep telling me to open my own Etsy but I haven't decided what to do yet. I might join in a craft fair coming up.
So do you ladies like to plan out special birthday outfits?
Last year I just played it by ear and picked out a dress that would keep me cool since my wine tasting trip was on a day of 101 degree heat!
