Greetings Neighbors

I recently made a new welcome sign to welcome our guests into our home. It started with a pack of wooden watering can cut outs from the Dollar Tree. I used 2 packs of 6 with and had one left over. I started out by painting them two different colors. A lavender and yellow the same number of each.
Here's some of my paint choices but I didn't end up choosing to use all these colors.
I put two coats of paint on especially for the lavender because the wood sucked all the color in so I could still see wood grain after I put one coat on.
After applying two coats of paint I used my Cricut and cut out the letters for each wooden piece.
I used the Jasmine Cartridge and did two cut versions one with the shadow feature and one without.
Here's the Welcome in the shadow feature (this is also one of my first projects with the Cricut so I was excited!)
Then I cut the same thing out in the regular font and glued them onto the shadow letters.
Here's what it looked like before I then glued them onto my wooden pieces.  Note to self I need to get a cover or something for my table it's worn.
I then went and played with power tools and used a drill to make holes in the top and bottom of each one so that I could attach them together with twine to make it a vertical hanging sign. I also used another cartridge I think it was Doodle Charms to cut out an Easter basket and some eggs to fill it with.
I forgot to take photos but i decided that I wanted to add in some paint to these so I also painted each one with different little designs, polka dots, lines, stripes, etc.  But now that I finished it I think I might have just rather left them plain.
I also added a little bunny head to the top one and then the basket of eggs on the bottom.

Not too bad for only $2 and supplies that I already had on hand.

I didn't have any other Easter or Spring decorations so I thought I could use some little additions in the house that I made instead of going out and buying more things.

How cute are you!? This looks awesome :-) And the best part is it costs you $2! It would cost so much more to buy it in a store. I need to start being more crafty lol

This is so cute. I love the colors and it looks like something that could totally be expensive.
