Looks like I'm just a tad behind on my blog posts so this was sitting in draft form. My last two days in Chicago consisted of more sightseeing and the wedding!
After partying all night with my girlfriend on Friday night I woke up early Saturday at her place and got into my clothes from the day before. Oh yes.. Classy folks. Then I proceeded to try and cure my hangover by finding the nearest bagel shop and Starbucks.
Lucky for me this was my walk back to the Magnificent Mile so I cruised on down the streets with my all access bus pass. There were no plans for Saturday since I was the tour guide. I called my mom and she just said her and the family were eating breakfast. So I did what I do best. Wander around! It was so nice! A little crisp air this day but nothing a good cup of joe can't cure.
Walked down across the waterways
Then made my way back to Millennium Park and watched the gym enthusiasts do yoga in the park. I wish I had yoga pants on so I could join but let's face it a hungover person doing yoga wouldn't be very good.
I ended up deciding that I should go cruise over to the Willis Tower and check out the Sky Deck. I wanted to take the loop transportation to see the city so I just hopped out and walked over to Sky Deck during it.
We were headed 103 stories up!
I liked all the fun facts about the tower it self.
Once you were in the elevator there was a TV screen showing you the different floors you were passing and which buildings it surpasses.
85 Floors up and you've passed the Eiffel Tower
95 Floors up and you've passed the Bank of China Tower
and so on...
Then you've arrived! The elevator doors open and your graced with the amazing sights of Chicago from 103 stories high!
Luckily I bought this jacket the day before so you can't even tell I'm wearing the same clothes as the day before. SMH..
The glass window thing is really cool and freaky all at the same time.
See now you can tell I was a hot mess.. Ha!
The streets below you!
I wandered on back towards the hotel and had some lunch at a placed called Hannah's
Got back to the hotel right in time to get ready and get everyone's panties in a bunch because for some reason they told us to get there like 2 hours early when pictures weren't until after the ceremony so I took my sweet time.
Me and Momma
We then went to the wedding which was pretty and of course all Chinese. Ate tons of food but sans booze. Yes folks it was a dry wedding. So post wedding at 12 midnight I did what everyone would do. I went out again with my girlfriend since bars didn't close till the wee hours of the morning I managed to make up for the lost time.
The next morning I came prepared and after crashing at my girlfriends I had a change of clothes and met up with my family and went to Giordano's Pizza and had some of their deep dish.
Then a few of us walked the Navy Pier. Far too SF touristy for me I'd skip it entirely if you go.
Just a few pics and grabbed some dip and dots and made my way back to the hotel since my flight was set to leave that afternoon.
Adios Chicago! It was a GREAT trip!

3 Lovely Notes:
The last time I was in Chicago they hadn't added the sky deck inside Willis. You couldn't walk out on the glass. I need to get back there! It looks like you had a great trip!
Being up that high reminds me of the Seattle Space Needle! I don't know if it's that high, but I do know I didn't like being up there at all! It scared me! The elevator ride wasn't fun either! It went too fast for me!!!
Looks like a blast! I was just there in June so it was fun to relive it through your posts! (My friend said the same thing about Navy pier, we skipped it and got pizza! :-))
